In the distant future the secular world segregates the spiritual to off-grid, gated reservations. On the eve of a government sanctioned apocalypse intended to eradicate the religious colonies, a parent and son have a clash of extremist ideologies with a confused child caught in the middle. Can this estranged family find common ground before their hour of oblivion?“No son, not a false God, just a new kind of God for a new era.”
Past Productions by Herbert the Cow:
Herbert the Cow Productions is the creative vehicle of Fredericton based writer/director Corenski Nowlan. Pasteurized (founded) in 1999, in our 25 year history we have staged 16 full length productions, including 11 full length originals, presented 7 Reader’s Theatre shows, 6 shorter-than one act scripts, co-produced 6 plays with the co-operation of other companies, and had the Herbert logo plastered on a bunch of other stuff including: zines, chapbooks, poetry readings, writers’ workshops, and art shows. Low budget. High emotional intensity. Theatre that breaks the fourth wall, abolishes conventions, and shatters hearts!

GARY FLANAGAN (he/him) – Mod-Bot – Gary is from Saint John, New Brunswick, and has
been composing and recording original electronic music for over 30 years. In that time he has
released 13 albums. His music has been released by indie labels in the United States,
Germany, Italy, and Canada. He was also the founder and editor of Nightwaves, a fanzine
dedicated to underground electronic music. He was fortunate to interview many big names in
the field, including Dr. Robert Moog, Mark Mothersbaugh, Martin Rev, Roger Linn. He
continues to produce new music in his home studio where he also pursues video and writing
projects. He is proud to have been involved with many Herbert the Cow productions over the
past two decades.
CORENSKI NOWLAN (they/them) – Urkon Burkle – Corenski is a playwright and the Artistic
Producer of Herbert the Cow Productions, which they founded in 1999. Apart from HTCP,
they have served as an actor, director, and stage manager for other local companies such as;
Next Folding, NotaBle Acts, Theatre Saint Thomas, STEEDS, and an ongoing series of
collaborations with Nasty Shadows Theatre Co. Under the HTCP banner they also have
organized writers’ workshops, poetry readings, art exhibits, and self published chapbooks for
themselves and several other writers.
HARELY QUINN NOWLAN (they/them) – Blade Burkle – Harley Quinn is the 11 year old
daughter of Herbert the Cow Artistic Producer, Corenski Nowlan. This will be their first proper
acting role and after a lifetime of watching plays, they could not be more excited! Previously
they made a silent cameo appearance in the online show Skitties, the Second Coming, and
did an on-stage impoverished role in I Left an Entity in my Room?! by Nasty Shadows Theatre
Co.
LEE THéRIAULT (they/them) – Warren/Wynter Burkle – Lee is a passionate member of their
local arts community. They have a background as a classically trained vocalist and a very
deep love of musical theatre. They have served as Music Director and vocal coach for
Herbert the Cow’s productions of Dr. Horrible and Buffy, the Vampire Slayer: Once More With
Feeling. Most recently they appeared in Les Productions Fusion’s travelling Akiko show. On
weekends, Lee can be found at local clubs performing in drag under the stage name Ménage
à Troy.
AMANDA THORNE (she/her) – Starboi – Amanda studied at the University of NewBrunswick
where she completed a double major in Psychology and Drama. She has been acting for
years and has worked with nearly every company in her local area. Her most recent theatre
credits include Buffy, the Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling (Herbert the Cow), Punch
Up and Middle Town (Theatre UNB), and This is a Play (Nasty Shadows Theatre Co).
Moonshot is her seventh HTCP show and she couldn’t feel more at home in the pasture!
